Different Fasting Fingerstick Glucose Results

Question: I can check my glucose at work with a fingerstick. Yesterday it was 110, fasting. This morning it was 142, asting. Checked it again about 20 minutes later and it was 116. I am sure I`m prediabetic but what was the 142 reading?

Question: My mom had type 2 diabetes. She takes a tablet once a day. She also has lymphoma. Question: Recenetly I went to give blood platlettes. My colesteral & blood pressure were just below their allowed limits. But hen they tested for sugar in urine they told me I could not give blood.
